Adding a Quiz to a Standalone Video (Player)

1. Player setup

First you need to create a player which doesn't require Login to view content. You can use this guide to setup your player:

2. Quiz setup

Once the site player is setup (or you know the site player you want to use), you need to create the quiz for your video. This is the same as normal for adding a quiz to a player, but once it's saved you need to edit the quiz type and make it public; here are the guides for setting this up:

3. Video Setup

Nothing different here, you need to set up the video on Hydra as per normal:

  • How to create a video record
  • Once the video is created, add the quiz to the video record, making sure to configure the duration awarded for the quiz.
  • The next stage to this setup is to add your player to the video under the Site Player tab.

To obtain the link for the video to give to client you need to grab the videos standalone player link.

  • Log in to the admin on Hydra.
  • Go to Structure > Taxonomy from the menu at the top.
  • Scroll down to Sites, then click list terms.
  • From here, find your player and click edit.
  • Once this loads, go to the Content tab.
  • On this page, find you video and you you'll be able to obtain the Standalone Link for that video.
