How to work with live event MI

Introduction

For our live-streamed events such as Masterclasses we collect data on viewers which is downloadable from Titan/Hydra/Insure TV. We need to process that information for dissemination internally and to clients.

Instructions

Note

Please note sections in bold are for events to be featured on Asset TV/Insure TV only

  1. Prior to a live event a LIVE EVENT record should be created in Titan using the TalkPoint ID supplied from the Production Team
  2. A ‘holding video’ should be uploaded to Media Manager and a generic holding image applied (for example the company/programme logo in a 16:9 ration)
  3. Place a link to the Media Manager video on the Basecamp so Editors know to upload the replay edit over your holding image.
  4. Wait for the event to go ahead!
  5. Following the event the Production team will send through a spreadsheet from TalkPoint containing the event MI.

Preparing for uploading to the analytics system

  1. Convert the LIVE EVENT record to a Video Record (add in relevant tags and update description and contact information if applicable). For non-ATV events you will merely need to create a new video record.
  2. Use your holding video’s ID as the Media Manager ID on the video record (even if you’re still waiting on the editors to upload the replay edit).
  3. Complete the ‘Upload Analytics’ Spreadsheet and save as a CSV - a blank template can be downloaded from the uploading page on my.asset.tv

Preparing for sales

  1. Sales teams provide clients with an MI report that excludes email addresses. To create this we need to extract some of the information from the TalkPoint report.
  2. FIRST NAME / SURNAME / COMPANY COLUMNS: There isn’t an automated way to do this. First names, surnames and company can be extracted from most email addresses. For anywhere it isn’t clear - info@ or @hotmail.com for example - you can cross-check against Titan to see if that email address lists a name and/or company
  3. The duration is simply the person’s ‘Total Duration’ for the event rounded to the nearest minute AND to the end of the event should they have logged a longer time (i.e. 45 minute Masterclass but a user is listed as viewing for 53 mins)
  4. The Questions tab is a collation of the questions submitted on the TalkPoint report next to that user’s details.
  5. This should be sent through to the sales team and added to the Basecamp record should it be required in the future.
